Klassieke meridiaanleer
OVERVIEW PROGRAM
1. (Febr.10): Jing Jin/TMM—Form (structure) influences function (meridians), WEI Qi Level
a; general treatment principles and specific symtoms of TMM
b; abdominal clearing of DAI Mai (above/ below)
c; correcting left/right imbalances (Akabane test)
d; clearing pelvic belt and shoulder girdle as bottlenecks of Qi-circulation
e; harmonizing front-back by using general back treatment protocols
f; 3 levels of treating Jing/Well points
TMM (Jing Jin): ch. 13 Ling Shu, 9 openings and 4 limbs as interfaces with the environment, fortified by Wei-Qi
2. (April 13): Luo points and Luo vessls- the polarity of Qi and BLOOD as container of SHEN
a; general treatment principles for clearing blood stagnation in Luo vessels and their specific symptoms
b; other sites for clearing blood stasis
c; integration with TMM treatment
d; 3 levels of Luo point treatment
e;Luo points as opening points of Extraordinary vessels
Luo-points and –vessels: Nan jing ch.26 connects the Luo-points with the extra-vessels via Yin/Yang Qiao Mai.
Ling Shu ch. 10 describes the symptomatology of longitudinal Luo-vessels in repletion and emptiness as indicative of bloodstasis and therefore as indication for bloodletting
3. (May 4): Qi Jing Ba Mai /YUAN Qi level for extraordinary pathology or in liminal time--
treatment for shock (Jing/fright or panic) and transitional life periods (like menopause, retirement and dying)
a; specific EV-diagnosis by pulses, abdominal MU points and pscho-somatic profiles
b; treatment techniques acc. Yin/Yang principles and treatment strategies including TMM treatment
Qi JIng Ba Mai: Nan Jing ch.27 to 29 ,general description of pathways and treatment for complex psychosomatic illnesses. In addition Li Shi-Zhen’s Exposition on the 8 EV’s (Qi Jing Ba Mai Kao)
4. (May 11): Divergent meridians-- taking WEI Chi at the level of YUAN Chi/ NEI KE(internal medicine) by treating Zang-Fu pathology with deep meridian pathways
a; 3 leg and 3 arm pairs of divergent meridians for chronic pathology of organs
b; clearing blood stagnation of internal organs in back SHU areas
c; combination with EV treatment to prevent strong healing crisis and integration with TMM treatment
d; the role of the heavenly windows: reversal of psychosomatic transmission
Divergent meridians (Jing Bie): Ling Shu ch. 11 indicates by numbers 5+6 that the internal state (5 original or healthy emotions in constant change) is challenged by the 6 external “climatic” influences. Deep seated acquired behaviour which has penetrated to the Zang-Fu level is driven out towards the area of the heavenly windows which means remembering ones heavenly or original nature. In a similar way ch.11 of Su Wen speaks of the extra ordinary Fu which integrate acquired influences into Jing as physical representation of our original nature.
5. (June 7): returning to the regular meridian system/ YINGQi level
3 levels of treatment acc. Heaven/Earth/Humanity
a; earth level: physical level treated by point functions
b; humanity level : middle or Qi level treated by point energetics (5 phase and others)
c; heaven level: emotional problems treated by „spirit of points“ (names instead of numbers)
Regular meridian system treated on 3 levels
a; Ben Zang/rooted in organs (Ling Shu ch.47) = physical level of treatment as given by Nan Jing ch.62 to 68 (antique points), Also by TMM, Luo Mai and Jing Bie combined with EV treatment (integration)
b; Ben Xue/ rooted in points (Ling Shu ch.2), refers to regulation of meridians as opposed to treating the Zang-fu level, by applying meridian “software”(Sheng and K’e-cycle, 6 junctions, Zi Wu etc.).
c; Ben Shen/ rooted in spirit (Ling Shu ch.8). Treating this level means to use the spirit of points which requires to understand the point names as hints how to treat emotinal problems.
Josef Viktor Müller
Born 1956 in Vienna and practising now in Zurich provided for a natural connection between the concepts of western depth-psychology as stated by Freud and Jung and classical Chinese medicine in the tradition of J. R. Worsley. Original trained in Shiatsu I feel a strong inclination towards Japanese styles of acupuncture and therefore I incorporated several of these approaches into my western psychological background to assist psyche/soul in embodying its heavenly nature. This focus comes from the tradition of the Sufi master Pir Vilajat Khan with whom I experienced the reality of the soul which in present is marginalized by so called objective scientific thinking. Following Ken Wilber`s reasoning that the greatest need for human kind is the reconciliation of science with religion I aim to integrate advanced scientific thinking (the concepts of quantum physics and chaos theory) with classical Chinese concepts (I Ging, Daoism) into an European form of body, mind and spirit acupuncture.
